Just over a year ago, the East Rugby Team capped off a banner season…winning a state championship in its first year of existence. The Golden Bears now have their sights set on going back-to-back. East is one of sixteen CLUB teams in Ohio and Pennsylvania that have qualified for the playoffs. They’ll start their postseason run tomorrow night at home. The Golden Bears are 6-0-1..and seeded seventh heading into tomorrow night’s first round action…against Northwestern. TIMMY BOWSER, EAST JUNIOR: ” WE’RE VERY MOTIVATED. WHEN THERE’S A LOT OF PRESSURE ON OUR BACK, A LOT OF PRESSURE, WE JUST KEPT GOING THROUGH IT. AND, WITH THE UNDEFEATED SEASON, IT GAVE US A LOT OF INSPIRATION, AND A LOT OF MOTIVATION TO KEEP GOING ON.” East and Northwestern will faceoff with a trip to the Quarterfinals on the line tomorrow night at 7 at Rayen Stadium.
