The All Blacks team to play Tonga
on Saturday has been announced. Te Rarawa first-five Josh Ioane is set to make a long-awaited
debut off the bench. Meanwhile, the other Ioane –
Rieko – has not been named. But as Irena Smith reports, the big winger has been sidelined
due to injury. Rieko Ioane has a tight calf
that’s why he isn’t playing. Te Rarawa’s Josh Ioane
has a spot on the bench but the coach isn’t saying
if he will get on the field for his All Blacks debut. But he agrees he has done well
in training and he’s ready for the main stage. Let’s look at the team
playing Tonga. We have one Maori
in the forward pack, Muaupoko man Codie Taylor as hooker. In the backs, TJ Perenara gets
the call up as starting half, and Beaudene Barrett
returns to first-five. On the bench we see new father
Aaron Smith and the young man Ioane
waiting patiently. The team excited
to play against Tonga. The match kicks off
