Maori designs that will be branded on all official Rugby
World Cup merchandise. 11 Maori designs were unveiled
today Wellington. Joe Glen has this report. These are the designs created by
artists from Nga Aho and Ngati Toa. We acknowledge these groups. Nga Aho is a syndicate of Maori
artists throughout the country and Ngati Toa. They have created a Ka Mate design
to brand official Cup clothing. The designs represent Love,
physical and spiritual strength. Nga Aho is pleased that the
international rugby board supports their work. Canterbury clothing line and a
sporting goods manufacturer has agreed to brand the
designs on their clothing. Ngati Toa and Nga Aho are also
talking with another company. The details have not been finalised, but we were ready to
launch these designs. The NZRU warned that the designs are
