Roosters and Kiwis player, Shaun Kenny Dowall
has been stood down from appearing in court
for two weeks to face allegations
of domestic violence. There are grave concerns for the welfare
of the Roosters and Kiwis star who was admitted to hospital after undergoing
a mental health assessment. However, his club is standing by his side,
saying there is more to the story and that he should be treated
as innocent till proven guilty. Raniera Harrison reports. Not is all as it appears for

about how hard the last week has been for embroiled
Roosters back, Shaun Kenny Dowall. Facing 10 charges of domestic
violence against former partner, Jessica Peris. The Roosters flyer has been admitted
to a mental hospital in Sydney, obviously suffering
from the pressures of his life. With the main message
being a reminder that someone is always innocent
until proven guilty. Kenny-Dowall’s father,
former NZ Paralympian, John Dowall, who won a gold medal in 1996, has taken to social media to voice
his support for his son. A sentiment strongly supported
by the Roosters, who Kenny-Dowall has been
involved with now for 12 years. The Roosters will take on
the Wests Tigers tomorrow at home, minus their starting centre, an off-field distraction that
coaching staff is hoping to not hinder on-field performance. Kenny-Dowall perhaps
with the biggest job of them all, as he is rescheduled to face
